Quilt med segelbåtar!

Den här våren har jag sytt ett täcke med segelbåtar. Jag hade nämligen sytt 300 st half square triangles (HST) och visste inte vad jag skulle göra med dem. Sedan såg jag en bild från Laundry Basket Quilts, Edyta Sitar, av ett täcke med segelbåtar, och då kom jag på att det här är precis vad jag skulle kunna använda de här 300 HST till. Under arbetets gång med täcket, så upptäckte jag att jag behövde sy ytterligare 50 HST för att kunna göra klart mitt täcke så att det skulle passa till en enkelsäng. Nu skall jag leverera det här täcket till Maria Bussler för att få det quiltat, eftersom jag inte är så duktig på att quilta större alster själv. Täcket mäter cirka 160 x 235 cm.

During the month of March and April I have been making a quilt with sail boats. I started off making 300 half square triangles (HST:s) and I did not know what to make of them. Then I saw a quilt on Edyta Sitar's Facebook, with a quilt of sail boats, and then I knew that I could use my 300 HST to make a quilt with sailboats. But to be able to finis the quilt top I hade to make another 50 HST to have enough blocks (35) to finish a quilt suited for a single bed, the quilt is approximately 160 x 235 cm. Now I will send this quilt to Maria Bussler, Bussler-Bussler Long Arm Quilting, for her to finish the quiling, since I am not good enough to quilt the large quilt top by myself. Better having a profesional quilter doing the quilting.
